***Always switch the PC off at the rear power switch and unplug the power cable, before un/installing internal components/cables ***

Check the Graphics Card GPU Power cable

Make sure that the power cable is plugged into the GPU

Sometimes this connection is on the back of our GPU cards and on some models on the top.

Some of our cards do not need additional power so don't have the connection at all.

If this cable is not plugged in or not fully inserted you will get no display at all or intermittent display & stability issues

Your GPU might not be sitting properly in its slot. 

With the PC on its side check that the GPU is firmly in place. The GPU will have a very slight  side to side flex. But should not rock up and down in the slot against the motherboard.

If it does rock up and down press the card gently but firmly downwards. press evenly on either end of top of the card so that it goes into place and sits level in its slot

Underneath the graphics card itself there is a small plastic latch holding the card into the motherboard socket itself

The lock or latch is quite difficult to see & clearly with the GPU installed. You will be able to see it better on the non heatsink side of the GPU. This latch should be fully closed, locking the card in position.

Pressing the GPU back into place should close this latch, either fully or partially  but on some cards and motherboards pressing card into place only partially closes the latch & then you have to manually push the latch closed 

There will also be 1 or 2 screws holding the rear of the GPU to the PC case. This also holds the GPU in place on the motherboard. Check these screws are properly in place.

If the graphics card is not sitting in the slot properly try to reseat it. You should only feel a moderate amount of resistance pressing the card fully into position.

You may need to temporarily loosen the case screws and open the latch to push the card into place. Then close the latch, tighten the screws etc 

****If it feels like you are using too much force to push the card into place, stop immediately **** 

****Also if the GPU will not sit properly in the slot, let us know****

If the card was slightly loose but is now in properly in place, try your system again.

At this point it may also be necessary to remove the Memory Ram sticks and reseat them again.

Additionally you may need to completely power your Monitor or TV off then on again, for it to redetect the HDMI input.

If you are now getting output from your GPU, you should be good to go. Because we will have already installed the Graphics card drivers for you when we built the PC.

However if you are still getting display glitches you may still need to install the latest drivers for your graphics card, the cleanest way to do this is by following the steps in the following article.
