To troubleshoot a sound issue on the PC
Please turn the PC fully off
Turn the PC back on whilst tapping the Delete key to access the BIOS
In the BIOS, press F9 to Load optimized defaults
Then F10 to Save and Exit
Once back in windows test the sound with both the top audio ports and the rear audio ports.
If you still hear no sound
Go to Computer Management, by right clicking on your start menu
Then Device manager & expand Sound Video & Game Controllers
Then take a screenshot and send it to us please
Thanks
If that fails to fix the issue, try these more advanced steps
In Device Manager please remove both instances of the High Definition Audio Device
Then along the top go to View and Show Hidden Devices
Remove any instances of High Definition Audio Device and/or any instances of Realtek Audio Device, remove everything except the Nvidia/AMD audio entries (your Graphics card will be either Nvidia or AMD).
Then turn the PC of and reboot the previous BIOS steps
Let Windows boot as normal
Say Yes to any Found New Hardware prompts & yes to any Install Driver prompts
Then check in Device Manager again.
Say Windows should have reinstalled the sound card.
If it hasn't please take another photo of Then Device manager, with Sound Video & Game Controllers expanded
And a photo of Hidden Devices and send them to us please
