Making sure the CPU Heatsink and Fan are firmly seated
If your PC wont power on or shuts itself down shortly after turning on
And you have already checked the cables in this article
https://www.support.drmem.com/hc/en-gb/articles/360020952757-No-power
Now check the CPU Heatsink and Fan
Check there is no movement in the CPU heatsink & fan assembly.
The heatsink should be properly and firmly held in place at all 4 corner points, and not move at all.
See the red boxes below for the 4 locking points.
The arrow indicator on the plastic locks should be turned all the way clockwise to lock the CPU cooler assembly down.
If one or more of these connectors feels loose turn the arrow counter clockwise and push the connector down firmly but carefully, until you hear or feel the locking pin click into place
Then turn the arrow back fully clockwise to lock.
You may need to do the same with the opposite connector to lock both sides firmly in place
Please be careful not to actually remove the Cooling Assembly, we are just checking that the assembly is securely attached.
Also make sure that the CPU Fan cable is connected properly
If this fan isn't connected properly the PC will either not power on at all, or shut itself down a few seconds after being turned on.
